This hike starts at the Tree Spring Trailhead off of Highway 536 and climbs up the Challenge Trail to the Ellis Trailhead, then goes north on the Ellis Trail until it meets the 10K Trail. It is Wilderness from this point, so I hid the bike and went on foot. From there it climbs up to the crest at the Del Agua Overlook. Going north on the North Crest Trail, it crosses Survey Trail and the Ellis Trail again where the Osha Loop begins. The loop starts the return at the junction with the Osha Spring Trail. After 1.5 miles it joins the 10K Trail. The 10K Trail returns to the 10K Trailhead. Then it follows the new North Course Trail to the Capulin Snow Play Area. Crossing Hwy. 536 it rejoins the Challenge Extention back to the Tree Springs Trailhead.
